Colorado Part 6

On Tuesday, we drove through Rocky Mountain National Park.  We only saw elk but they were majestic elf;)

 ...

 I love mountains in mist.

The Lonely Mountain and the Long Lake;)
*smirk*

 =D

I don't know why, but I have a thing for mountains, in mist, in a forest

hmmm...it looks a lot like the Misty Mountains;)  Alright, let's just say that I felt like I was in Middle Earth=D

Sorry, you're probably all board of mountains by now.  I don't think mountains could ever bore me.  I'm so glad God created mountains=D

Does anyone else just love Pine Trees?

You can't go on a vacation and not buy souvenirs;)  A dazzling cup coster.  Well, that's what it looks like.

 And majestic eagle pen

A 'Bilbo' walking stick.  Now, I want to go on another adventure!

I hope you all enjoyed my posts about Colorado because this one was the last.  Have a lovely day!

Colorado Part 5

On Monday, we took a hike to Hanging Lake.  The climb was definitely worth it:)

A better view of the lonely mountain!

Wouldn't you love to have you backyard drop off to a cliff?  I don't know how safe that would be;)

A mysterious ravine

This reminded me of Minas Tirith

The path up to Hanging Lake was completely covered with rocks.  I felt like a dwarf on an adventure=D

A quaint little cave

I really like how this picture is blurred

There were lots of waterfalls

Here's another one

and another one

Hanging Lake!  It was so gorgeous:)

Another view of the cliffs

This little guys was eating nuts right out of Emily's hand;)

This very steep, but cool path.  I felt like I was in Minas Tirith with all the white stone

 An adorable little shack

 Dad and Lily;)

The White Tree of Gondor.  Sorry, I just had to=D

That night for supper, we had steak that we grilled ourselves.

Alright, my dad grilled it for me, and it was the best steak I've ever had:)

Colorado Part 4

After our horse rides, on Sunday afternoon we drove to the Continental Divide and hiked up both sides.

SELFIE!

The hike back down

After we climbed back down one side of the Continental Divide, a few of us climbed the other side

Let's just say the climb, the lack of oxygen, the resting every five steps, was totally worth the view.  This picture wasn't even from the top:)

Here's the stunning view!

 WE MADE IT!!!

...me once I reached the top...Seriously, people, with not much oxygen and when you have a cold, it's hard to walk for an hour practically climbing straight up.

Stopping for some pictures!

When Dad says, "Everyone Pose!"

Uncle Doug, Aunt Jennifer, Nicole, and Jacob.(sadly Katie wasn't able to come with us)

We had a slightly creepy homecoming welcome:)
